We all know the throbbing raw pain which we call loneliness. We feel essentially disconnected — our very essence is misunderstood.

Misunderstood

We call this misunderstanding loneliness. Loneliness is, on one level, the inability to share my soul print with another person. This level of loneliness we explored in depth in our Soul Print journey. However, such loneliness is but the expression of an even more essential feeling of alienation.

I am lonely because I feel like I don’t have a home in the universe. There is this big bad universe and little me. I feel separated from the very ground of being. A stranger in a strange land.

We are all dwarfed by our enormous anonymity. This is why even people in fulfilling relationships still experience a deep degree of loneliness. We have solved loneliness on the soul print level, but our essential sense of separation anxiety remains; a persistent splinter in our soul. We feel cast adrift in the lanes of life with no compass, no North Star, no hope-decked horizon..

We yearn for evidence that we are more that a chance conglomerate of molecules, more than finiteness, more than just physical or just natural. We yearn for the infinite, for the metaphysical and the supernatural. We yearn to know that our lives matter in the midst of this sprawling cosmos, but we are hard pressed for data and facts that serve as provable evidence.
